Every time I read articles like this, I am further nauseated by the decline of our "civilization" -- if you can call it that any longer. Children with lukewarm IQs have been giving each other dirty looks since the dawn of time but we didn't have a name for it until now. Mugging: the act of starting at each other and giving each other dirty looks.

Since the act of being mugged is reasonable cause to use deadly force to defend oneself, I guess the next time someone appears to be staring in my general direction I can just start "gangbanging" on them.

:)

I'm about ready to move to the mountains, far away from people.

ever notice that a lot of these types of "shootings" happen in liberal states with stiff gun restriction laws? I'm with TGO David....looking for mountain top property with 360 degrees of clear field of fire...up to 300 yards....

If ever you decide to do just this and start a "TGO Village" I'd like to fill out an application. I hear the Iron Mountain range here in TN is both beautiful and sparsely populated.

Funny this should come up...I've been thinking recently about looking for some property that's pretty far removed from most other people, cities, etc...just to have as my own personal camp ground and/or a place to go if I need to get out of town.

Haven't we all? For all the wonders of modern technology, a simpler life has more appeal.

I guess we all have at some point haven't we! As a practical place to go/live/survive in a ****F scenario, I'm not sure how how realistic that really is...a person needs quite a lot to survive; even more to actually have a life worth surviving and that generally takes some kind of "community" so completely going it alone can sound really romantic and manly, I think things would be better in a reasonably sized group where chores/work/necessities could be shared.

Then again, I'm just now reading "Lights Out" so that colors my perception a bit...I had a chance to meet the author at the Tactical Response Alumni weekend a couple of weeks ago and I've had had trouble putting the book down ever since!

More realistically, just having a place to camp, hang out, do some shooting and simply being outside (well, not in 100+ degree weather) is pretty appealing. :P

I too like this idea.
