MSSA 600 yard match last saturday, thank you

just wanted to say thanks, to the guys at MSSA high power guys. i did my first real match. they where very welcomeing. i was only asked one question, was my set up zeroed for 600? i told them no it has a 200 yard zero but i had my dope and it was proven.

but like any other shooting sport you think that you may be ready until you go try it. my first string was ugly but kept all shots in the black. but did my scoring wrong, which i did not know till we went to the pits to pull and mark for the next string. some shots i scored low and some high (points).

when we left the pits, and went to the firing line i was much better prepared. my biggest issue on the first string was my sweating like a pig. sweat running down my glasses etc.

when i got home and wife seen how much stuff i took with me she was surprised. i bought everything i could think of as in better to have it and not need it. even brought proof of having shot at distance before.

my friend Carl was taking pictures of our targets. that he use in a program that he has. even though my 2 and 3rd string was much better but for 2 or 3 of those what F@#K how did i do that. which made all my group sizes 4 MOA but it also figured average size to center. on my last to strings they 0.9XX MOA if could do away with fliers i believe it would have been 1/2 MOA. at 600 MOA = 6.30"

once again thanks guys.

I shot a service rifle match a while back at MSSA. J.R. is a great guy. He helped me a bunch. I will be attending more of their matches.
