Also, what kind of oil are you using?
I previously took the shotgun apart and clean and REALLY oiled the internals with Break Free CLP.

A light coat of oil should be all it needs.

:tinfoil:duh,lol

I would say put some more rounds through her then.Just get it good and broke in.You can get 100 rounds of bird shot at Wal-Mart for around 15~ bucks. That will be cheaper and easier then sending it back for repair

Thats a good idea Neero.Does it stick while its un-loaded?

It does not stick when it's unloaded. Sorry to be simple minded, but when shooting, is it necessary to slam the forend back and forth? I have been trying to pull back hard to help the spent casing clear the receiver, but my forward movements have not been as aggressive.

NO,you do not have to use a great deal of force. In fact you can use just a little force and have the spent case just drop down. But useing a lot a force is not bad,and should not hurt your gun.

Thanks for the tip BTW Stickj your avatar is "Outstandinger than Hell"

On an unrelated subject. I went shoot some today and I took 3 boxes of Remington Premier STS Light Target shells. I only got to shoot 2 of them. With these shells I had zero malfunctions/sticks/jams or whatever you care to call them. They shot well, ejected farther (I don't understand why) and didn't cause any foul-ups. I put another 20 of the Winchester shells I have mentioned earlier in this post and had 3 instances of the action sticking. I know that two boxes hardly proves a point, but I think my problem is ammo related. Next time I get the opportunity to shoot I think I will take all Remington shells and see what happens.

The only time I had a problem like this with my 870 I figured out it was the shells. I was in Tunica MS shooting the skeet range. I had shot a whole round with my own Remington shells, we went to shoot the 2nd round with Fiocchi shells supplied by the range. The brass on the Fiocchi shells was thin causing the brass to swell up in the chamber making nearly impossible to pump. I switched back to my Remington shells and have never had another problem.

Hows it holding up?You said you thought it might be the ammo.I usually use Federal multi purpose load in the 100 round value pack from WalMart and have never had any problems with them.I also use alot of Aguila Mini Shells and never had any probles with those either, but because there so small, you have to watch them and make sure they dont turn while on the elevator
