You know, I think we still have a bunch of bowling pins in our storage trailer. I will check, and if so, maybe we can do a bowling pin side match at the Sept NTPS match. Can't do August since we are hosting the TN state USPSA match. It's a blast shooting pins!

Tim, that would be great. I just picked up a revolver that was set up in the 80's for bowling pins. Wanted to give it a whirl.

Please post up some pictures. What are details on how it was configured?

I'll check on the pins when I'm out there this Saturday. If we have them, I'll talk to the match director and try to schedule the pin side match for Sept 10th and 11th.

I'll let you all know what I find out.

recguns.com has the details on how the matches were set up.I remember at one time Kawser made a special bullet just for pin shooting. It was a lead bullet with a flat nose but the surface of the nose looked like a meat tenderizer. It was a popular sport for a short time

I almost forgot about this.

It's a Smith and Wesson 1917. It was manufactured January 1918. It's had the action polished, hammer bobbed, barrel cut down, barrel cut and tapped for the front sight platform and the rear milled for a factory adjustable adjustable rear sight. I have some Eagle grips coming for it to replace the hogue rubber grip.

Well, finding the pins was not a problem. But I forgot that Sept was a trophy match at NTPS. So, unfortunately I will have to do it in October. I'm really looking forward to it though and will post info here.

Nice looking revolver Mike. That thing looks no where near it's true age. Sweet.

Just seen this post and was about to ask the same question. I live in GA right now and will be moving to the Manchester/Beech Grove area soon. Here we still have pin matches every Wed night. Would love to find a indoor range in MId Tenn to do this at. Any other news??

My intentions was to have the pin shoot this weekend but I forgot about my 24th anniversary on the 8th. So, I cannot run it. I was going to have it as a side match during this weeks NTPS match but of course I want to stay married.:D

Sissy......all the crap you gave me at the Run&Gun about not coming out! The Music City Cup (November 5th) is on my anniversary. I can not believe you forgot the anniversary.

You probably have to buy their ammo and pay a range fee too!
