Suggestion

I was thinking that it would be nice if there was some sort of visual record of a member's reputation regarding the TGO Trading Post, something similar to the feedback score you can see on eBay. Maybe a score posted under the member info. It may be more trouble than its worth, but I thought I'd suggest it anyhow.

We have had this in the past via a modification to vBulletin called iTrader. iTrader was written by a third party volunteer author who subsequently stopped writing the code, and then a few more people from the vB community picked it up and started working on it again, updating it for vB4.

The last time I tried to use it, there were some pretty serious bugs in the software that caused us some problems so I abandoned it again.

The good news, however, is that I plan on moving us off of vBulletin very soon and the new software has several well written add-ons that bring that functionality back to the table along with a very nice "classified ads" system. I will be implementing those as soon after as possible.

Right now I'm neck deep in some very major projects at work so I just haven't had a lot of time to work on TGO. In fact, this past week I've done the most recreational surfing of the forums that I've been able to do in a long while. And sadly that's because I was pulling some 8pm - 3am upgrades for work from home.

That stuff is about to calm down in the second week of August and I hope to be able to earnestly pursue getting us moved to the new server and to the new software.

Nope, took tonight off to go see a movie with my wife. No work for me this evening!
