While I am not a fan of DA/SA, it is very nice. Congrats.

What kind of mags are those? Never seen them before.

DA is decent on this, the trigger is shorter and it's a more comfortable pull than some others. I'm most likely going to send it off and have some trigger work done to lighten it a bit (DA and SA), and shorten the reset.

Mags on the 220 are the factory 8 round and 10 round that come with the combat model. The 226 has the MecGar 20 rounder, who makes them for Sig (yet cheaper).

Nice gun....I probably wouldnt have any trigger work done on it though....one of the big pluses(as you probably know) to the combat is all the internals are phosphate coated for corrosion resistance....I doubt they would be able to be worked on and retain their coating...I know they don't make a phospated SRT kit...yet...so I would just keep it as/is...I have always wanted one of those but have yet to "pull the trigger"....I did get a HK Tac 45 the other day though so im can shoppin too.

Do want!!! The desert combat P220 has been on my "lust list" for a while now, I'm just not sure I really truly want another heavy single-stack 45ACP when I like my M&P 45 middy so much.

WOW! Shes a beauty!! I'm just learning so forgive my ignorance. What is on the end of the barrel? and what do you mean by can shopping? I thought it was a typo till I saw the other reply that said he was can shopping too. Just curious. Very beautiful guns.

The barrel is threaded on the end so you can attach a suppressor (aka "a can" "silencer")

Ok, so that is an extension to accept a suppressor?

It's not an extension, it is the bbl itself the end of which is threaded to accept a suppressor or a cap to protect the threads. The cap is what you see there.

I thought about that with the coated internals, and considered doing a standard SRT kit and saving the coated ones. Personal preference for me, I'd rather have the trigger right than the coating if it comes down to it. Something I'll include in my email to Gray Guns.

Congrats on the HK. I carried a USP .40 for several years and loved it, but there's just a certain feel to my Sigs.

David, If you ever get down towards Destin or Panama City Beach, let me know, huge back yard range here at the house, and as if you didn't know already, you're always welcome. We haven't shot in a loooong time. Besides, you need to give my 6.8 SBR a run too...

Ahhhh Sig. ;) Beautiful gun. Gray guns will do a great job with it.

That said the SRT is an easy install, and lightening the hammer spring a little will greatly lighten that DA pull.

I've shot my brood enough I don't even notice the DA anymore. Everything else just seems a little strange.

Enjoy!
