can you elaborate further?

Many people believe they are stronger ect. As the receiver has more meat to it.

I must have missed that one. It may have been sold cause I think I checked them all. I have found some really nice hex's online for 89.00 so I may go that route.

How much force does the receiver take when a round goes off? I would think the chamber is key.

I always figured a hex receiver was faster to make.

I would agree with you Mike on both accounts time would be shorter and tooling wear minimized.

I have however heard the argument and claim on many occasions that it is stronger and for quite a few, it is preferred.

Pf i ain't doubting what you have heard.

I believe people think hex is better only because they were available less. Still thinkin that.

i but them because you can get some of the older dates and i think they were better made because a war was not going on.they will go up in price because they are harder to come by most of the time.

I own a few and shoot them all fairly regularly, I do have to say that the 1936 hex I have holds the tightest pattern out of all off them but to many variables to take into consideration to figure out as to why.
