Frank:

Your symptoms seem similar to those associated with a vitamin B-12 deficiency I've developed, which comes on with age and can cause fuzzy headedness, depression, numbness in the hands and feet, lack of sleep, low energy levels and so on. It's easily tested for and easily treated. I'm going through this right now.

First I was placed on a daily prescription drug called Folbic, containing Vitamins B6 and B12, and then at the same time I had a B12 injection each week for four weeks, then one every other week for a month, then monthly or as the tests indicate. My energy levels have come up bigtime and my sleep has improved tremendously, and the emotional wear and tear of a lengthy cancer search has abated almost entirely. The aches and pains I normally have as a result of osteo arthritis and degenerative bone disease have also been noticeably improved. So you might want to take a minute to read up on it and see what you think. One thing to consider is that even if you take in enough Vitamin B12, the aging process weakens your body's ability to properly absorb it and put it to work. So dismissing it on the basis of your vitamin B12 intake being adequate may work against you. Anyway, here's a good link to look at and it's fairly concise and won't take a lot of time.

Best wishes for a diagnosis soon and some easy treatment.
