Don't like gay marriages? Don't get one. Don't like cigarettes? Don't smoke them. Don't like abortions? Don't get one. Don't like sex? Don't have it. Don't like drugs? Don't do them. Don't like porn? Don't watch it. Don't like alcohol? Don't drink it. Don't like guns? Don't buy one. Don't like your rights taken away? Don't take away someone else's.

That smacks of advocating personal responsibility. Such a view can not be tolerated in America circa 2011.

You will be assimilated -- progressively of course.

Abortion doesn't just affect one person. Your rights end where someone else's rights begin. The mother's "right to choose" contradicts the baby's right to live. "Don't take away someone else's." Your words.

I understand what your saying. But a life with no love and very poor quality is NOT a life worth living...... Example: What If the mother cannot provide proper care during her pregnancy and out come a sick suffering dying child. Or after born the mother chucks the child in a dumpster. Or how about the child is beaten and tortured all his life then killed at a young age. And if after suviving a aweful upbringing the child grows up to be a cold hearted criminal. One that is the reason we stay armed to protect our family and selves from.......Id say the abortion would of been a better CHOICE in the beginning. Edited by 808-South

Why does it have to be gay marriage? Call it something else, that's my only complaint.

mar·riage/ˈmarij/Noun 1. The formal union of a man and a woman, typically recognized by law, by which they become husband and wife.

2. A relationship between married people or the period for which it lasts.

Let the gays vote on what they want to call it, I couldn't careless what they come up with.

BS.

Doctors told us to abort our first, chromosome damage. He just finished his first year of college with an A average. Smart, good looking and popular, we are very proud of him. Most abortions are done because somebody doesn't want to be bothered with a pregnancy, or a child. Selfishness, pure and simple.

There are plenty of people willing to adopt those unwanted, unloved kids.

I personally do not advocate abortion. One would never happen in my life. However, the people that do go through them have to deal with the issue at the End, as all of us do. I can only control my life.

It is murder whether it is before delivery or after. Period.

I agree with you, if abortion is abused as a selfish way out. And yes they is many people out there that would love these "unloved" children, but the "unloved" oit number those who actually want them.....I personally would never choose abortion. Reason being I am a married man. And is with my soul mate.....But I will not look down on a mother who, with good intentions cannot provide for a unborn child let alone a born child..

Then adoption. Good intentions? Abortion is murder.

What if the mother is raped? Or giving birth will most likely kill her? I'm not for abortion as a method of birth control, but I think there are exceptions.

And before anyone comes out with the "it was God's plan" bs about a rape victim getting pregnant, save it because it's not something I buy or care to hear from someone who most likely doesn't have a ****ing clue.

That's an opinion, I am very split with abortion and I do not know what I would do in many situations if I were to get some girl pregnant.

If it were just some random girl I would plea for adoption after it were born. The scenario where it is my girlfriend and I have finished school keep it and try to make things meet. However what if it is life threatening between the baby or the mother/wife dying? What do you do? It is probably easier to think you can't live without the mother/wife because you don't even know the child. However deep down in your heart you know you already love the child. Just I don't know but to call it murder seems politically incorrect to me.

Carry on. I don't think this thread was intentioned to debate every controversial issue on earth.

Because we can't teach kids sex ed or personal responsibility anymore so there is a surplus of kids and not enough people willing to adopt when most people can't even make ends meet. But that's another issue and an answer to a rhetorical question anyway.

What if a frog had wings?

It happens that women sometimes get pregnant during a rape. Aborting the child is still murder. However, I will not condemn someone who has an abortion under those circumstances anymore than I condemn the guy who flips the switch in a capital punishment case. There are many examples of women who have carried their rape-babies to term and are glad they did.

The days of women dying in childbirth as a matter of routine are over. Yes, it still happens occasionally, but not near often enough to justify routine murder. In that rare case, most reasonable people agree; the mother's life over the unborn child's life.

Like it said "if you don't like it don't get one" other wise if I want one its my business. Don't try to push your beliefs on me.

Women dying from botched abortions is also a thing of the past. I'm not sure men even deserve a vote on the issue.
