Threading an AK barrel?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of someone relatively local to the Sevierville area that may be able to thread my WASR 10 barrel to allow the installation of compensators, flash hiders and such? Would like it to be someone trustworthy yet reasonably priced.

If you are ever considering connecting a silencer to it....make sure the gunsmith does more than simply cranking a die down to it. Concentricity is your friend.

Also does it not already have left hand threads on it? Some companies are making accessories for the AK platform with left hand threads in mind.

do you have a goofy slant break that wiggles on the end of it now? You would know if you do. Looks like that thing. Should be left hand threads if I'm not loosing it. Mine was.

What you have there is a politically correct ak -

No threads, no muzzle break, nothing............I believe sir, you are correct! Hence I'm searching for someone to thread it :D
