I have a Ruger P85 (9 mm) with 5 magazines, and hogue grips I am considering selling or trading for something else. Anyone know what something like this might be worth or where I could find out?

You might try looking of gunbroker. Sometimes their prices run a little high, sometimes fairly average, but it'll give you some good ideas. Auctionarms.com might be another good one.

Don't! They're awesome old guns. As stated, trade value is low. Mine's a beater but more accurate than me and shoots anything I put in it.

yeah, its a decent gun...just fairly new to the whole handgun thing and would like to alternate around...its just kinda my range shooter, so id like to see what else I can get in its place.

They are very great guns to have. Nothing fancy, pretty or precision about them but they do shoot. You won't get much for one and unless you really need the money to buy something else your better off keeping it. I don't shoot mine that often but I wouldn't dream of getting rid of it for the price someone would give me.

Well, don't sell it for cash, use it on a trade if you decide to let it go. If you catch the right trade you will get more "value" for it that way. But keeping it is sound advice as well, its a well made gun and difficult to replace, the only thing that is as rugged and reliable in that price range would be a good mil surplus gun or a cosmetically damaged brand name gun (not including revolvers of course, talking auto for auto here).

I have the P90 big brother since new, about 12 years now, and have never had a jam or misfire. I wouldn't ever get rid of it.
