All of those are way way overkill. .22LR 40 gr. roundnose in a good semi-auto is ample. Yeah, you might have to double tap once in a while when an oblique shot deflects off a skull, but with the thousands more rounds you can carry over any other caliber, you're gonna live longer than lugging .223 or gawd forbid shottie shells.

Remember the army gal in the tree in World War Z? She knocked down several dozen with her issued .22 and then went on her way.

Here's mine -- portable, relatively light, folded with irons for mobile quick easy shots, extended with scope and bipod for longer ones -- it also is effective in case everything from cats to whistle pigs become infected too. Plus the flash hider makes it harder for the zombie squirrel hordes to pinpoint your position.

For close work - Remington 11-87

If a little farther away - LWRCi 10.5" SBR in 6.8 SPC - with a can so I don't attract more targets

For sniping at Walkers in the distance - Custom SPR with Leupold 6.5x20

If I can sneak up on them - P14-45 with Ti-Rant

Don't have pics yet - but as a last resort, or out of ammo, or just for fun - I have a SOG Tomahawk

Curious to know if you've shot this thing with the bayonet attached?

I have once, I normally don't bother bringing it to the range with me. Nothing that I could see happened to it, it's not an original so I wouldn't have been too disappointed if it did get dinged up. Really just have the bayonet for showing off. I have still yet to fire anything but light target load #9 shot. It was manufactured sometime in 1911 so I don't know if it could handle a heavier 2 3/4" load.

I guess my zombie gun would be my Mosin..... If I can get the zombies to line up I am sure to score very well. Multiple kills per shot. LOL

After that the Beretta

After that the knife

After that goodbye cruel world.

One of my Zombie guns . . . Cobra-Force.jpg

While the Winchester 1897 I had posted earlier would suffice, I think that any of these would fit the bill for a zombie gun:

Picture was from my Blackberry so sorry for the quality. This was about as complete as my collection has been in one place at one time, still missing about 7 guns that I had at the shop or taken apart on my work bench. Dad and I were going out for one last day at the range before I left on my trip.
