before it ever really gets started. I'd say this might be the equivalent of political suicide.

banning gay marriage, porn, and Sharia law (while it all sounds noble in this day and age) is just not realistic. I think it's safe to say we don't have to worry about her becoming President, she just lost the election before the voting ever began. :D

I consider myself a conservative (but more like an Independent/Libertarian), but these right wing dip**** are becoming about as stupid as the left wing nut jobs with each passing election. Is this honestly the best America has to offer?

Michelle Bachman? Barack Obama? Sarah Palin? Hilary Clinton? John McCain? This is the best we can do? If it is, this country is totally and permanently screwed.

Banning gay marriage and Sharia will probably get her some right wing votes, but porn is certainly a step too far for the average American. She is attempting to play to her base here.

The Jefferson quote in my signature pretty much expresses my feelings on this one.

I think you are over reacting, much like the media will. The media will also make the claims that you are that she intends to "ban" all these freedoms.

I support the DOMA and the humane protection of women and the innocent fruit of conjugal intimacy – our next generation of American children – from human trafficking, sexual slavery, seduction into promiscuity, and all forms of pornography and prostitution, infanticide, abortion and other types of coercion or stolen innocence.

I see nothing wrong with "supporting" what is in written in the vow.

The LSM will attempt to destroy her anyway, with or without her new "vow".

Gets crazier every day. If somebody runs on banning stupid, I'm in.

:D I think that'd be a candidate most would vote for lol.

I cannot believe her handlers are so damn stupid to let her sign such a pledge. She is clearly the more conservative candidate of those running, so why does she need to sign a pledge? Does she honestly think that those voters are going to flock to the more liberal Romney if she doesn't sign the pledge? Sheesh.

Personally, I hate all of these stupid pledges. Everybody wants you to sign their pledge. When she became a representative, she took an oath to uphold the constitiution. All she has to do is make good on that oath, and that should cover all pledges.

Rick Santorum has also signed it.

two down. :D

I am far right enough to vote for her on those convictions. The federal stand on queer marriage and porn should be non Federal issues. Sharia law can not exist with the traditional American values. America has more significant problems.

not that I disagree with you, but the majority of the rest of America won't agree with you, me, or her. It's one thing to pop the rabbit out of the hat after you're elected, it's quite another to shoot the poor rabbit in his lucky foot before you ever stick him in the hat to begin with.

Pledge or no pledge, she'll split the conservative vote in the primary with Santorum or someone else, giving the Republican nomination to some RINO anyway.

As long as that nominee doesn't split the vote in the general election with an independent conservative, there's still hope of getting rid of Comrade Obama.

For years the people that would make a good president; don’t want the job.

I would like to see someone that will be open and honest and see what would happen. Probably couldn’t get elected, but it would be interesting.

I hope you're not using the term RINO to describe somebody doesn't have some religious/moral agenda. They need to be worried about running the country. Sooner or later, somebody is going to have to deal with the stuff that matters. I don't CARE if homos get married.

The biggest problem I have with these special interest pledges is that the issues pale in comparison to the potential devestating problems we face. Considering the situation we are in, conservative candidates should be running on three things:

1) Stop spending too much of our money,

2) Entitlement reform, which includes repealing Obamacare, and

3) Decentralization of the government.

If none of the above problems get fixed, then the game is over.

I'm saying he already signed it, so take him off your list, assuming he was ever on it.:D

It was a joke. He was never on my list.I think frothy mix describes him perfectly.

So much of this stuff could have been answered better by declaring it an issue of "states rights" and be done with it. California does all this social engineering legislation along with heavy taxes along with santuary cities. If they want to run their state into the ground thats fine with me. But regardless which side your on, it is wrong to bring your agenda to the federal level. Abortion was once a "states rights" issue. Each had their own laws and they varied alot. The feds should NOT be involved.

It is a simple mistake and shows poor leadership. She should have been able to explain to this group why it would be a power grab by the federal government and we don't need any more of that.

I'll vote for whoever is running against Obama.

DITTO. I have my preferences, but goal number one has to be getting him out.

I think most of us will. I do, however, prefer Obama has to run against a candidate more in line with my views than just another moderate republican. If we are forced to choose between a moderate and Obama, the moderate will certainly be the better choice, but they will still suck. JMHO.

You all know that we need someone strong enough to stand up for what they believe in.If we don't get someone like that we get socialism light, again.Do you really think she would be able to pass such things through congress.I say,get the most rightwing conservative in there and it might balance things out.We must stand together on our principles and forget this petty bull.

But God forbid that a conservative Christian with moral values gets elected. :D
