Looking for Gun Range

Recommended Posts

I have some subcontractors at work that have never shot a real gun. They are from England. One had never held a real gun, until I showed him my LCP. I know some of you are thinking, "he still hasn't held a real gun". What I need is a range recommendation. I have agreed to take them to a range next Saturday. They are staying in the Antioch, Bell Rd area. For their convenience, would like to try and stay on their side of town.. Need to be able to rent guns and I'm thinking buy LOTS of ammo. Would appreciate any and all recommendations.

Only range on that side of town that I know is is Gun City, but I cannot recommend it. Better to travel a bit up to your neck of the woods and

visit Guns and Leather.

2nd G&L. If they've made it all the way here from old blighty, they can stand the extra 20 minutes in the car, with the benefit of a lower risk of NDs and / or sub-morons.

G&L gets crowded, so get up there early. Good on you for teaching and sharing the hobby, and in a much more kind manner than 235 years ago.

I'd strongly suggest Charlie's place down in Spring Hill. 5$ a person... outdoors.. lots of lanes... the people down that way are super friendly.

Outdoor ranges are best for newbies as many find the concussion and claustrophobic nature of indoor ranges disconcerting; actually, I do myself.

However, OP says he needs to rent some guns.

Missed the bit about needing rentals.. I am planning to be at Charlie's range in spring hill saturday and I'd be more than willing to let anyone shoot whatever I end up bringing with me.
