How fast can you build an AR lower?

Recommended Posts

So how fast can you guys build an AR lower now?

From a stripped lower to ready to mount an upper on it I'm right at 30 minutes now. And not putting a scratch on the finish Or pins anywhere. Not to say I wont monkey the next one up. I know FAST isn't everything. But to me it just shows how easy and simple the AR really is.

Tools I use:

Screwdriver

Knife

small brass hammer with one end of the head taped.

Electrical tape.

2 different punches

I just can't get one done in less than an hour. It's always; get set up, let the dog out, get parts ready to assemble, answer wife's question, assemble a couple of parts, let the dog in, "What was that Honey?", put another part in, etc.......
