The big thing is you have to put rail covers on a standard railed system and it's "big" in your hands unless you put a vertical on it. This rail is already smoothed out in the hand area, smaller diameter like a straight tube but you can still put your accessories on the front rails as usual towards the working end. All in the eyes of the beholder..YMMV

I use ladder covers on all of my rail systems and have never had a problem. And I have little girl hands.

I thought it was a good design until I got one in my hands. The rear is solid billit. adds too much weight to the gun.

Dude!!! its only 8 pounds. Most basic builds with plastic are 6.5-7 pounds. But then they are Not Rock River either.
