Wheres theres a will theres a way.Put a Keltec on your ankle or a belly band, and theres always Mars favorite Smart Carry

I've tried Smart Carry, and it didn't work. I don't like ankle holsters. Belly band may be an option. But the answer of the original post is that I do not carry at work. Someday, I may change that.

Why do you feel the need to carry at work? I know that sometimes violence occurs at the workplace but instead of adding to the problem I'd rather to get the heck of out dodge than getting fired after the smoke clears.

How is one that carries at work when something bad happens "adding to the problem"?

I'd rather get out, too. But that may require shooting as you retreeat.

I'd be interested in hearing the answer to that as well.

Plus, why the assumption a person will be fired?

I'd rather be alive after the smoke clears.

I work for myself so I can carry. I practice law and share space with several other attorneys, and they all know and don't care. When I go to the copy machine or the men's room I'll put my jacket on. We sometimes have clients waiting, and I don't want to freak them out. I just found out one of the other attorney's paralegal carries. He has an HK 45. Rock on!

I go to court nearly every day, and unfortunantely that means I must leave my pistol behind. I keep it locked in a small case in a drawer, with the office door locked. Some courts don't have metal detectors, but rest assured 201 Poplar in Memphis is not one of them.

I guess a law office is as likely a place as anywhere else for a shooting. One of the attorneys on my floor practices divorce exclusively, and he's got some pretty crazy clients. Remember the divorce lawyer a few years ago here in Memphis that was shot and killed by his client?

Why not just put up a sign making it a gun free zone?

Darn! Why didn't I think of that before? Here I've spent near $1500 the last year on a pistol, ammunition, classes, permit fee, and regular trips to the range, when all I could've done was put up a sign to keep the nutjobs and thugs away.
