Thanks for continuing to make this a great forum. I have learned a lot from the other members. I'm sorry you spent your 4th working on it only to have it be for nothing. If you gotta move it, move it. There will probably be some grumbling as we all go through the learning curve but just remember "nobody likes change but a wet baby" Thanks again for all you and the moderators do to make this a great forum.

suck up... lol. The forum is only changing servers...not addresses. He's just picking up the forum and dumping it on another plot of land..all things intact. Unless I'm mistaken, there should be no learning curve. It will look and feel the same.

He has stated that he's going to change the forum software package at some point - no more vBulletin. It will look entirely different when that occurs.

Thanks guys. You're all very welcome and I consider it more of a labor of love than a burden. Granted, it seems kind of burdensome when the site is running slowly -- but that's because I am very picky and HATE slow web sites.

As for the new software, when we go that direction, the site will look different of course, but I am going to try very hard to keep TGO's characteristic appearance intact. I don't want to throw the baby out with with wash water.

And yeah, currently I'm just going to move the site to a "different plot of land". The address will stay the same.

The biggest compalint I have or had was the inconsistent loading. Some times fast and no problems, other times very slow to load and then other times all the random 403, 404, 408, 503 errors. Hopefully your change to another server will fix this.

I was to the point a week ago that I was going to move this site to the back burner like it did to what used to be my regulars and just check back in a couple of times a week. It seems better now, not sure if the switch has already taken place or just your current server working harder towards reliability, either way I appreciate it.

TGO should be way down on your list of importance when you're facing things like medical bills. I had to clear away a mountain of medical bills a few years ago and it wasn't fun.

I don't know about anybody else, but I was in cold sweats when TGO was down over the weekend. I almost called the doc to get some Zoloft.... and then it was back and everything in the world was right again. Thanks David!
