I broke out the bow last week. Been shooting 20 or so arrows a night (when the rain allows). Season will open before ya know it. Anyone else getting ready? Bout time to put out the trail cams too.

This is the best time of year. Feeders, food plots, locating stands, and plenty of practice with the bows.....I love it!

I've been shooting every afternoon since the first week of June, and hung six cameras this past weekend. So now the season needs to hurry up and get here.

Got a new bow a couple of weeks ago. Gotta get out and sight it.

What kind of bow did you get? I like to bow hunt almost as much as I like to coyote hunt. I'm going out in an hour or so to make a stand. See if I can call in a dumb one.

My boy has already started talking about getting the bow out... I guess it's time to make a trip out to the country.

Shot a little bit yesterday. Heat liked to have killed me. I guess I'll head to the indoor range for a while.

Sorry, I missed this post somehow. I got a Bear "Game Over". It's a 2009 model, but it was new-in-box from a dealer. Got it for about half of the original price. I don't mind not having the latest and greatest when it means saving cash. :D

I bought a Parker crossbow, too. Figured I'd get it while I had a little extra money. Gotta have something for when my daughter gets old enough to go with me. I got it all setup and stepped out back. Aimed at my little target in the back yard and as soon as I pulled the trigger, I hear a loud "POW!" as I saw fletchings flying up in the air downrange. Seems the scope was off enough at 20 yards that I hit the cord of wood that is my emergency backstop. Needless to say, a carbon bolt hitting solid wood at 335 FPS doesn't end well for the bolt. :D

I never put mine away ;) I try & shoot at last 2 dozen arrows a day, every day.

Gotta stay in practice when you shoot without sights!
