Steel match for pistols, shotguns for fun

Yes & Probably but it depends how far the steel is and your shotgun pattern.

So, I have 19 rd mags for my gun. Are you saying I can shoot ESP and use full mags?

One other question...will 1-1/8 oz #7 shells work for the shotgun match?

Let's say I dread another trip to get something better. What choke will help the most on a 28" barrell?

Kevin

A light mod would likely do the trick, probably not needed for that 28"

An 18" cyl bore "might" have trouble using light loads if the steel is "way" out there.

I'm looking forward to this match. Put me down for +1, a friend at work is coming to his first IDPA match. I think he's gonna love it too.

I appreciate the advice Greg, thanks.

I hate that I have to miss this one. I always love the steel matches MCTS puts on. It’s my anniversary Sunday so I’m spending the weekend with my lovely wife. Yall have fun.

I'm trying to get some friends to come. They don't no what they're missing. Kevin bring that book with you please.

You got it! It's going in my range bag now.

Had an awesome time today. Steel is a lot of fun. Texas Stars will take some practice. A lot of practice. But I was on target through the rest of the match.

It's not funny. I think Tim C's kid beat my time. LOL

In my defense, I had never even seen them shot in person and I did go first without complaining. Too much.

Tim C. and one other guy made them look easy. I learned a lot anyway.

As usual, had a great time today. Thanks to all that made it happen. All of the stages were fun & challenging, but the stage with the TX star was the most fun. I wish it had been the stage that you shoot twice!

Wish I could have stayed to finish the shotgun side match, but at least I got to shoot half.

John, I hope you enjoy that book or at least get as much out of it as I did.

Wait until December for the next steel match. We WILL have more steel maybe enough for all 7 bays. The next will have mini poppers if I do the stages. Might want to stock up the ammo now......LOL.

That was different point of view but I likes. Good shooting Greg...

Thx

I decided to try some down range on a tripod for a change, hard to get it zoomed close enough yet maintain a wide field of view.

The way I was shooting today, I'd have shot the camera.
