Serpa, Holster of Death, Strikes Again

Yes, be sure to remember that when you are in full red alert, perhaps already wounded, heart rate at 180, and adrenaline has narrowed your vision to pinhole camera status, and you are attempting to draw quicker than you ever have before in your life.

You could say that about any holster. When you are all pumped up like that you could just as easily pull the trigger drawing out of an IWB holster as you could a Serpa.

Hehe not quite. As I said before, I'm a personal responsibilty dude. :-) I guess at this point we'll all just have to agree to disagree. :-)

I wish now that I DIDNT have a Serpa so I could debate my point of view without being seen as a fanboy. :D

Some of you clearly didn't watch the entire video and are responding primarily on the OP's title, which is deceptive. The fellow specifically says that he doesn't blame the holster, but that it was his own fault with the holster design being a factor that contributed to the mistake he made. He was trying to show how even someone who knows what they are doing can make a mistake. I believe he knows what he is doing based on his actions after shooting himself. He engages the safety, places the pistol on the ground, and doesn't totally flip out. That shows he clearly has trained with that pistol and reverted to his training. Lucky for him it didn't look too serious and it takes a brave person to expose a mistake like that to the world for all to see, especially when many in the gun world are so very quick to throw stones.

This. Good eye opener video.

Agree. Thanks OS for having the balls to share your eye opening experience with TGO. We can all learn form this. No matter how perfect we think we may be, there is yet to be a human being in history deemed infallible.

It isn't OS.

OS is much cooler and better looking.

Correct. OS never shoots himself in the leg :D

True. OS goes for self-inflicted head shots only.

Grebner (guy in the video) lives in his mom's basement.

Shoots himself in the leg.

Memorializes the event on video.

Publishes the video on YouTube and draws media attention where he is touted as a firearms expert.

This same expert who calls out Nutnfancy.

This same expert who even Yeager calls an idiot.

The same expert who instead of getting out an IBOK and treating his injuries calls "his parents" when his "training kicks in" Is that the training he learned in daycare?

Seriously, watch some of his idiotic videos. As if his inane babbling isn't bad enough he is absolutely filthy as well. Has he not ever heard of soap and water and a washing machine?

The fact he shot himself is not surprising. It wouldn't have mattered if this troglodyte used a sherpa or a serpa or a burlap sack he was bound to shoot himself sooner or later.

He is not "brave" for putting up the video. He is a pitiful person desperate for attention and his antics are damaging gun owners everywhere with his cry for attention.

Well OS, after reviewing the video again in slo mo, I'd say that you were darn lucky your toe wasn't hit.

Do you really live in your parent's basement?

Isn't it an amazing phenomenon how once something is said, it sticks? Hence urban legend. Black panthers. (And that many folks don't actually read threads before jumping in with their uninformed blather.)

Okay, I admit it. It's me, and I live in my parents' basement. Ya gotta admit, though, I look pretty young in that video for 62, eh?

This same expert who calls out Nutnfancy.

Everyone should call out Nutnfancy. He is one of the worst mall ninjas and his videos are way too long for the amount of content that he DOESN'T provide.

I would like to see a Tex Grebner & Nutnfancy deathmatch. It would definitely be amusing!

Grebner has no business calling anyone out. It is a minor miracle it took him this long to shoot himself.

FYI, Grubner is getting a web redemption next week on Tosh.0

I can't wait to see Daniel's bit on this incident.
