OK, been looking at old cars out of state like in Georgia. Some states do no longer issues titles on older vehicles. What do other states like TN do about titles when someone buys them and trys to register in TN?

I can't find the TCA reference right now, but TN will issue a title on a vehicle beyond a certain year model with a bill of sale only. Some county clerk's offices don't realize this, so you may have to go 'up the chain' to get someone to do it, but they should do it. I'll try to find the TCA reference later.

What type of cars are you looking at?

Thanks 56. Well, we are just looking at what is out there for sale and just keeping a open mind on something that the family can enjoy busting a few knuckles on.

When I brought an untitled trailer into Tennessee, the County Clerk was able to verify the law in the state of origin and I was able to get a Tennessee registration and plate. I guess they issued me a Tennessee title, but I'd have to look it up.
