Looking for a Citrix Admin

I'm looking to fill a Server Administrator position at work. I need someone with LOTS of experience with current versions of Citrix Applications (Xen App, Xen Desktop, Xen Server, etc.). The position also requires experience in general Windows Server 2008 administration. The job is in the Knoxville area.

If interested, send me a PM and I can give you an email address to send a resume.

I'm still looking to fill this position if anyone is interested.

Not surprisingly there aren't many Citrix admins looking for work out there. We have a fleet of them at my company and they rarely move to other places of business unless it's to advance themselves somehow. Good luck with your search.

hmmmm.... sounds like maybe i need to start learning Citrix.....

Sadly there aren't many good books for it out there, and the classes tend to just get you up on the basics. 90% of what a good Citrix admin knows how to do, he/she learned over the course of actually doing it somewhere else. It's kind of rare to find technical disciplines where that is the case anymore, but Citrix is definitely one of them.

I do some Citrix here at work from time to time and can easily see why this is the case. Our Citrix guys earn their keep.

My brother became a DBA the same way, learned the basics and just the rest fell into place actually doing it. Actually doing something/learning it on the job is so much more beneficial than saying "I went to school and they taught us this in the classroom". Half of that info goes right out the other ear, and its usually theory and not application which is taught.
