Do any mid TN gun ranges do this?

I was wandering aimlessly on the net and found a place in Florida that deals with most anything related to outdoor adventure. They have a shooting range where they offer ccp classes and something I thought was interesting.

Every 2 weeks they have a "Handgun Caliber Familiarization Shoot". They let you shoot 5 rounds each of 6 different calibers of guns for a fee. I like the idea and wondered if any middle Tennessee ranges offered anything similar.

Well, most people at Haffner's range are friendly. No fee if you're polite and you don't look like a weirdo. Just walk around and strike up a conversation. Most people will offer within the first few minutes. ...or so has been my experience. There's always a few jerks, but you can usually spot them and keep on walking.

+1 for what Caster posted...got to run a full magazine through a FN-SCAR there while my brother in law was scoping out AK's...I am now modestly lusting for an FN-SCAR....we were there shooting my mini 14 and the lever action Henry

When I go to the range anyone can shoot my guns if they bring their own ammo or let me shoot theirs, sharing is caring you know.

Everyone always wants to shoot the mosin m38 after they see me fire it

The range I use has rental guns and you can try one, or all, for one money (plus ammo cost). I just thought it was neat that they advertise a regularly scheduled program to try different calibers. It made me think of when my wife and daughter were trying to decide what they'd be most comfortable shooting. At some point I would imagine a lot of people have wondered the same thing. This program addresses that question. Just my :koolaid:

Lots of ranges will rent you a gun, and lots of shooters will let you try theirs if you ask nicely. I am not aware of any place that does a specific caliber sampler but you could certainly try out a number of calibers at a number of places. I am not sure how I feel about this, to be honest, as the gun is half the package when it comes to the feel of a caliber. There are 9mms that kick me completely off target and others that do not recoil at all as an obvious example.
