bodyguard 380 take down lever

I know most folks read the title and thought yep the take down lever comes out when firing, well now for mine. I have a new .380 bodyguard. and I have a different problem. I can not get my take down lever to move to the downward spot to take it out goes about half way and pops right back up. anyone know a secret to get it out.

Some of them are EXTREMELY hard to push all the way forward. Just keep pushing. :stalk: One we had in the store, it took two of us to get it forward.

worst part of the gun..so I quit cleaning it LOL

You would figure after so many years in the biz S&W could get this right ?

NOPE,you can send it back and they will revise it to work normally
