Hello,

My name is David and I'm new to Memphis TN area.

I'm looking for a firing range that allows centerfire rifles.

So far I have only been able to find private clubs that are more than I can afford or ranges that only allow rimfire.

I want to practice with my 30/30 before hunting season creeps up.

Thank you for any suggestions in advance.

Dang, that stinks. I will most likely end up getting a 22 but I love my 30/30.

Like M4 said: Como requires membership but is pretty reasonable and MSSA in Memphis area which is around $400 to start and $20/mo., I think. I am not a member but have gone with a friend/member a couple of times.

Sweet, do you know the name of the club in Como MS?

MSSA is expensive, I can buy a 22 rifle plus a 9mm and go to the indoor ranges for what they want for a membership.

Thank you for the info M4 and DocZ.

Deerslayer you rock man. I called Natchez State Park and they do have an outdoor range and they allow centerfire rifles. I will be going up their a couple of times before deer season. New question for you guys. Any recommendation on a 22 rifle? I like the new mossberg tactical 22 and a general semi auto.

I've had a Ruger 10/22 for years and it's been a reliable, easy to maintain rifle. While I like the 10/22, my next 22 rifle will be a Henry.

M&P 15-22 is fast becoming the standard imo
