Just so we're clear, I have no real problem with the way the system is set up, and I am certainly not concerned enough to work out an atypical agency relationship. Just trying to clarify what I believe nicemac's position to be.

I hate to revive a dead thread but I just wanted to thank everyone who gave advice. My wife and I are under contract now for a home. The termite clearance is done so pending a good inspection we will be in the house soon. We did use a "buyers agent" at no cost to us and settled with the sellers with only one counter offer. I may post up some pics after we get everything done. Thanks again for all the help and advice!

Just don't look at the bottom line on that really long paper you have to sign. You really don't want to see what's written there.

That's the shock and awe ......errr ahhhhhh truth in lending statement. Its what you will pay overall if you pay it for the entire term of the loan!
