Heading to Norris...

Hope it isn't raining, it cleared up pretty nice here in Knoxville.

Since I have been accused of being antisocial, I thought I would mention it here before I headed up.

I will be the guy in the ratty blue ball cap and desert pattern pants shooting the Commie guns.

Hey I never said you were antisocial, just that you should introduce yourself to the "gang" sometime! I won't be able to join you today unfortunately. Be safe and I'll try to catch you next time!

As I no longer work weekends I will start appearing at Norris on the weekends, just fair warning. :) BTW all the rain this weekend, thunderstorm and my headache I stayed home.

You should join our antisocial network. We stay away from each other and never communicate. It's pretty enjoyable.

That's really much too much communication regarding this matter. :)

None of the Usual Suspects showed any interest for the weekend, plus I've gotten into watching young Rory eat up the field at the US Open.

Had the place nearly all to myself till late in the afternoon. The rain held off. It was nice.

I am upset with my AK though. I am about a thousand rounds into it now. When I first got it I had some jamming issues, the locking lug on the bolt would catch the front trunnion and cause it to fail to return to battery. I got some Tapco mags and the problem went away. Till today. On my last mag (about 200 rounds) it jammed every shot. Even with the mags out and unloaded, it would jam just working the bolt by hand.

It rather frustrated me. I am contemplating taking a file and filing the trunnion at an angle so that even if the lug catches, it will slide off and return to battery.

On a good note, I am head over heels infatuated with my Heritage Rough Rider. So much so that I want a second one. I must have shot four hundred rounds through it alone, making the empty shotgun shell hulls dance.

The M44, NEF Pardner Pump Protector (~1000 rounds as well) and my Glock functioned flawlessly as well. The +P+ loads I picked up weren't harsh at all.

It was a good trip.

My offer still stands if you want me to take a look at it.

I had forgotten about that.

I think I will take you up on that. I will PM you later in the week when work eases up, if it eases up.
