Not really....it's only fitting that Obama would appoint one of his own instead of someone who would actually do a good job. He is a community organizer after all....

All he's done so far is exactly what he promised in his campaign that he wouldn't do, so another special interest appointment would just continue his streak.

2012....I can't wait to be first in line at the voting booth to press anyone's name but his.

Andrew Traver was nominated by Obama for ATF Director in November 2010.

In December 2010, Brian Terry was killed with a rifle that the ATF had deliberately let walk.

As Vanderboegh has written, the probability that Traver was in on the Gunwalker scandal and attempted coverup is considerable. Why would those kind of things be kept from someone who was expected to be the next director?

Traver is going to Washington tomorrow to meet Obama and Holder. Obama will pick another Acting Director (who won't undergo confirmation hearings).

If Traver goes to a confirmation hearing in order to become Director, he needs to be put under the microscope, and he probably will be if Grassley has anything to say about it. Wouldn't be surprised if Corker and/or Alexander rubber-stamp Traver, though.

If Traver was involved in Gunwalker, I doubt he will get the nod. Obama and Holder need to get rid of this mess once and for all.

However, they are choosing someone to head the Federal Agency that controls the sale and transfer of firearms in our country; not voting on a head for the NRA.

I wouldn't expect a president that is openly anti-gun to choose someone we will like.

They need a sacrificial lamb. It appears it will be Melson and not Holder.

I am hoping that it will come out that Traver is up to his neck in the Gun walking hullaballooo. I am also hoping that all of you write to Alexander and Corker. Cant hurt and who knows, it might actually help.

Obama didn't strong arm anyone. Melson was the next in line for the ax. Just protecting Holder for a

while longer.

This needs to blow up on Obama. It should have been stopped a long time ago and it wasn't. When

some dumbass in the administration allows someone to be killed relating to an investigation, the

administration is to blame, not just the dumbass.
