grip safety really doesn't make a gun any safer if you think about it. When you go to holster a gun with a grip safety then obviously your had is going to depress the grip safety.

Not the way I put mine in the holster. I kinda hold the slide of the gun & ease it into the holster. I dont touch the grip much, & really try to not depress the grip safety.

I've read so many stories of people shooting themselves with their own guns that I'm really being super careful with mine. The first few times I went out with mine after I got my permit I didnt even carry with a round in the chamber. I had crazy thoughts of sitting down & the gun going off. :) I carry with one in the chamber now, but I'm still super careful with my gun. I dont have insurance right now, so if I accidentally shot myself I would be up poopy creek without a paddle. Not to mention my family would never let me hear the end of it hahahaha. :shhh:

You should see how many times I check my gun before I dry fire it or clean it. It probably looks like I have OCD or something lol

I'll never like Glock. I cannot stand the pitch of the grip, it feels alien in my hand, not to mention I have always had a difficult time maintaining my grip on a glock. Qualified with one at Guns and Leather, and I had such a difficult time, the slide ended up slicing the webbing between my thumb and forefinger on my right hand. my hands aren't large, and I just never could get a comfortable grip on it where I could maintain control, 6 of my shots never even made the target because I was struggling with it. I won't call a glock a POS, but I certainly won't ever buy one. I'll stick to my CZ, or a Smith and Wesson M&P .40

I have never liked the grip either, but my Gen 4 g23 is a different story. I traded a CZ P01 for it. I also have an M&P9. Nothing wrong with the Gen4 grip.

As all guns are, the relitave size of the grip has to conincide with your hand. 3rd gen glocks fit and feel great and are a breeze for me to carry. I've tried many and wasted money like most of us do trying to find the "combinnation" that worked for me.....

True. I think that's the reason the big players are offering multiple backstraps in their current models.

I've owned both Glocks and XD's and I don't think one is any safer than the other. The only reason people shoot themselves in the butt with Glocks is because they are negligent.

Because unlike Glock owners, the SA XD clan is a bunch of biased snobs.

The Grip Safety of the XD, helps prevent the Glock butt shots.

Glocks are great guns. I just like the way the XD feels a little better.

I'm curious what you disliked about the CZ that made you trade it...weight? DA trigger? too accurate (just kidding)?

I have Glocks, Rugers, Kel-Tecs, CZs, etc. and have rented/borrowed quite a few others. For my hands, the CZ was the first one that just felt like it was made for me. I still like my Glock and others, but I have to adjust my grip to shoot them well.

I didn't dislike anything about it. I just have two other DA/SA 9mm's. It's more that I have become a fan of plastic striker guns.
