A sad morning in Oklahoma

Very, very sorry to hear of your loss but it sounds like Chopper was well loved and well taken care of and I'm sure he knew it too!

It's amazing how large a hole a dog's passing can leave in our hearts - I know what you mean about these four-legged critters being "family"...my basset hound is the only family I have here in Tennessee and I can't imagine my life without her even though I know I'll have to face her taking that walk across the bridge just as i have with other "family" over the years.

Well a little smile thru the sadness came today. As mentioned we had to leave Chopper in Oklahoma to be cremated. My puppy arrived today back to me. He has NEVER been away from either me or my wife at any one time for such a long time. I know both her and I are glad to have him home and in his rightfull place in his home. I hope he is waggin his little nub from Heaven above knowing he was loved so much. I feel that my home is once again complete.

Welcome to Nashville, and sorry for your loss.

I don't know if it's too soon for you or not, but my neighbor has a female boxer that she would like to find a good home for. She ended up taking in "Darla" for her brother a few weeks ago... can't remember the circumstances. She's a sweet pup, I think a bit less than a year old. My neighbor travels a lot and can't really give her the attention that she should have. If you're interested, pm me.
