Wow! Being red/green color blind; Had I not noticed the crossed tail feathers, I might not have seen it at all! Nature will always have us beat on this kind of thing. Awesome!

I find deer are just as good too. And they are more or less a solid color with no great pattern for blending.

I wish I could take credit for that picture. I found it on the web and thought it was a cool pic. The site did't list the photographer or where it was taken.

GunTroll, you're absolutely right. I've noticed that it doesn't seem to matter where they're standing (except in the road) they seem to blend in well...especially late evening.

We have a coupe gray foxes that come into our back yard on a regular basis, they have the ability to appear out of nowher, when they lave they can take 3 steps into the woods & entirely disapear.
