Left Handed 1911

They actually made a left handed Colt. It ejects to the left and all the controls are exactly opposite of a standard, right handed, one.

I am left handed and have gotten used to shooting so-called right handed guns left handed. I wouldn't know what to do with a left handed gun, pistol or rifle. In fact on some ambi guns I have had issues in hitting the slide release with my high hand hold. I find the slide release on that 1911 an answer to a question that isn't needed. It is way too long and in the end unnecessary. As was mentioned it also interferes in field stripping the weapon in the usual easy manner.

The first one is a custom gun built by a pistolsmith and the second is made by Randall.They were in business back in the 80s

I"m left handed and also shoot left handed. Slide releases aren't a problem but mag releases are. I've tried to teach myself to push the mag release on my Glock with my left index finger. Sometimes I can and sometimes I just push on it instead of pushing it in.
