I want to find some new grips for my Kimbers. Does anybody know any good websites with odd or funky grips? Looking for something unusual. Its one of those I am not sure what I want but will know it when I see it. They would go on these...

I might ditch the brown grips but you ain't gonna find a "cooler" looking grip than the black diamond checker pattern you already have.

I love the VZ Grips I am running on my carry gun. www.vzgrips.com

On my full-size 1911 I am using a set of Pearce finger groove inserts with a set of Rosewood grips. I also like these as well, but I dont like rubber grips for carry as they tend to catch on clothing.

Just as a heads-up, those inserts will thicken up the grip a bit. The piece with the grove actually sits behind whatever panels you end up using. You could also buy the Pachmyr grips which are a combined wood/rubber grip with finger grooves. Disney runs a set on his Kimber and I think he has posted a picture before. Or, Hogue makes a set of full rubber grips with wraparound finger grooves as well.

I you like a big grip...check out www.nill-grips.com.

I have the Master model(CO11YHO8XL) on my 1911 that I use for IPSC competitions.

A beautiful german made grip. A bit on the pricey side though.

DB - You can contact him. He might be able to work something out for you but the price will be even MORE!!!!

I bet, I will wait patiently on things to work out, then buy my Rock Island and go from there.
