Guns are something than I can still buy and make sure my money is going to help keep American jobs. No need for foreign shotguns no matter how cheap they get.

I agree with this. Also when those imports break, it can be a pain to get replacement parts. Not always but sometimes.

You can't really beat the price of a baseline Mossberg or Remington, both American.

When I went to look for my 12 gauge pump, the comparable models from Remington, Mossberg and Benelli were within $2.00 of each other. Benelli was the cheapest of the three, but with that little difference, they were effectively the same price.

I'll agree that "the best" and "the most affordable" shotguns are, for the most part, foreign made. You can say that about most any product. However, don't think that "the best", and "the most affordable" are both descriptions you can apply to the same gun. A best quality Holland and Holland or Purdy are among the best, but they don't meet the affordable part of the spectrum by any stretch of the imagination.
