Congress takes aim at 401(k)s | Bankrate.com

For the government to say that this money is being “lost,†the government must first assume that the money belongs to – the government! You and I might think that the government isn’t actually “losing†the money based on the idea that you have to actually HAVE something before you can manage to LOSE it. This is the political and government mindset at work – especially the Democrat mindset. All wealth belongs to the government, and our dear politicians will let us keep some of it – but only enough to keep us dumb and happy and voting for them.

Yeh, they have been talking, hinting about this

since the coronation of the messiah. I'm sure that

they won't get anywhere with it, since it's private.

Oops! I was referring to something else.

There was mention that the administration

wanted the 401(k) funds for themselves,

like seize them. One of their Czars talked

about this last year. It was like it was his money

to begin with.

I never could see fit to set up a govt-endorsed retirement fund. They have too many rules about what you can and can not do with the money. Its like it isn't even yer money any more, there are so many rules.

It's not like I'm hoarding a fortune or anything. Small potatoes. But I'd rather pay the tax on the money and be free from uncle sugar's rules.
