big fun as usual.

It was very nice to meet dlm37015. Also loved handling the Mac10. I can't imagine shooting it, the thing felt like it weighed 20 pounds. It was very enjoyable passing some time at his booth, not to mention getting the lowdown on a few people I have heard of here.

And had a first time experience too. Never got a hard sell from one of the people I was with. OS got me to buy a pair of Howard Leight electronic ear muffs.

The salesman was not pushy at all, could not say the same thing for OS. Anyway he gave a bulk buy discount as OS got a pair too.

And topped it off with a trip to Scruggs for some pigburgers, next time I am getting the ribs. yummm

I was there from about 10 am till noon. Did anyone feel a disturbance in the Force?

Gotta start wearing the TGO hat again or something, so folks can find The Usual Suspects.

Dolomite Supafly, Mike.357, Fujimo, Garufa, and I all hung out, finally pegged David the Powder Kegger, enjoyed the confab there.

As Mike said, he and I finally got high tech with hearing protection (now that I've already developed tinnitus), bought a few unneeded leather sheaths for some of my unneeded knives (plus a $5 switchblade that will last indefinitely or probably 50 flip opens, whichever comes first) and no gunplay needed afterward at Scruggs BBQ, which is always a plus.

Someday I'll buy another gun there maybe, it being a gun show and all.

You found the one I want easily enough. Just coming up with the scratch is the hard part.

Well, yeah, there's that little detail. Otherwise I'd probably buy one every show. There's plenty I'd kinda like to have. Think that's why I have so many knives that I don't even use - can afford to!

I think I always buy more than I sell! Hate you guys don't wear name tags, I would have said Hi!

Yeah, never spotted you, gal. I did think to try to notice anyone of the distaff persuasion walking around with guns to sell, both inside and outside, but never scored.

We'll try to "organize" a little better for the next show. Which looks to be not till Aug 13 at the Expo.

Well, I'd like to meet all you guys as well just to say hello :tough: I'm heading back there tomorrow though to pick up a couple things and get the exact model numbers on those Sig556 rifles.

Also, do you know if you have to pay the fee again if you went the day before?

Not if your hand stamp can still be discerned. Hopefully you haven't well bathed. :tough:

I'm easy to spot! Old woman, grandkids( I'm training them good) and lots of guns! How could you miss us!

Mike, John, Mac, Gordon---sorry I missed you guys. I was planning on going, my alarm went off at 8 and I basically threw it across the room and went back to sleep. The "squeeze" was there too so that might have been a deciding factor as well :)

I went yesterday and saw something I wanted, went back today to get it and the price had gone up and the guy behind the counter was not at all interested in lowering it back down to make a sale.

However, I did find the exact Sig Rifle I wanted there at the show but it was about $110 more than I'm looking to pay for it. I can get it now for $1084 + $30 for the FFL fee and background check so no sense in paying almost $1200 just to have it today.

I saw some good prices and some obnoxious ones.I got a few good chuckles. I saw a Smith 617 I wanted but had a hard time shelling out 650 for a. 22 that doesn't have a horse on it. Saw a Colt Anaconda in 45 LCD with a 4" barrel for 1200 but the Guy was being weird so I walked. Would have bought it but was 200 short and he wanted a deposit for his #. Strange but not happening.

I did find a GG&G rail adapter for my USP though. $16.00 !!!!!

I bought a g23 gen4 glock for 529 - background tax and all was 592... i think thats good for the gun and the case, three mags, all that.
