Crossbreed Supertuck Smell?

Ok I ordered a Crossbreed supertuck and it arived this morning and it looks great but this holster has some ungodly chemical smell to it. Is it just something they use to treat them with. Please tell me it will go away?

Yeah, they stink a bit when they are new. Just toss it out in the garage for a few days and it shouls air out.

just smells like leather to me. Once you sweat all over it for a few weeks it will smell even worse.

Never noticed any weird chemical smells on my QwikClip.

hrmm. mine smelled a whole lot like treated leather to me, but then again, i work enough with leather that i know and like the smell, maybe it does smell bad to others.

yeah ive smelled leather but this is different. i will let her air out a few days. and i do sweat alot so it will probably smell worse!

Mine's horsehide and while it did smell a little, it wasn't at all offensive. It went away quickly.

My guess is that production volumes are such that the leather they use don't sit around very long. Hence you're getting it "fresh from the tannery".
