Am I the only one who can't watch those crime shows (Law & Order, etc.) because all I can think about is how the crime/murder/whatever would never have happened had the victim been carrying a gun? I just get angry when I watch them. Of course it's just tv but still...

I've always thought they were dumb. The biggest turn-off for me (other than all the legal nonsense) is the "ripped from the headlines" episodes. Or as I call them... "our writers suck so bad, they can't come up with an original story on their own" episodes.

If everyone based everything they watch on TV with your rationale of an intelligent person carrying his/her weapon Hollywood would be out of business. Almost every horror flick would be over in the first 15 minutes, every action film would be less than action packed, and zombie flicks would run like an episode Shooting USA.

As to your question, I do the very thing you question, although I now keep it to myself or the wife gets p.o. for having to listen to it.

I do not mind cop shows. Military shows and movies burn me the hell up though.
