One Seattle pharmacist has armed himself with a pistol after six robberies

Addicts putting pharmacies under siege - CNN.com

Instead of handing over the drugs, Donohue unholstered the Glock 19 handgun he wore beneath his white lab coat and sprinted to the front of the small pharmacy.

The pharmacist pointed the firearm loaded with 15 hollow-point rounds at the head of the hooded man.

"Down!" Donohue yelled.

The would-be robber dashed out the door, with the pistol-packing pharmacist giving chase. Surveillance video cameras captured the entire incident.

And not having his gun fully loaded. My G19 holds 16...

Haha! Exactly. Though maybe they just meant that one of the rounds was ball rather than hollow.

My dad was a pharmacist and carried a 45 every day. It was against the store's policy but he was more worried about having a gun stuck in his face again than their policy. We never even thought about him strapping on his shoulder holster before he put on his white coat every day. We felt like he was a lot safer than if he didn't carry. Change that, we knew he was.
