"Sarah Palin Gets The 2nd Amendment And Paul Revere’s Ride Wrong"

Recommended Posts

IMHO Palin at least has more experience than most of the candidates out there. I wish the Main stream media would have vetted our current president as much as all of the Republican candidates. It's real easy to run when you have the Govt media constantly giving you passes. . . .:D

Do you even actually READ people's posts or do you just make it a habit to cherry pick extremely minimal parts of a response and twist it into something that isn't remotely close to what was originally said?

So, you are completely comfortable with handing the job of POTUS to anyone regardless of their experience or credentials just as long as they they talk a good game? Whatever....

Talk about a pot calling the kettle black.

As a matter of fact, yes I am, in this case. And, as a matter of fact I read all of them and sometimes

I see visions of MSM in your posts, also.

I see plenty of competency without the baggage of a career politician. You make allegations of her

spewing the GOP line, when in fact, she has been invigorating the party base and waking people up

the zombie Republicans, along with Tea Party associated folks that love her message and are tired of

the country club running the show. How about digging a bit deeper instead of relying what some

news agency says.

You brought up racism and sexism because I threw something in the air that appeared enticing but

without substance. I didn't call anyone a sexist, but since you elevated that one, I don't know.

You seem bound and determined to find fault in a person you probably aren't qualified to speak of.

Just say you don't like her. Good enough. I really don't think she is the enemy, but, hey, that's me.

Just so you know, I'm not comfortable with anyone being POTUS until I see their actions. That even

means after I voted for them. All I can do is make the best informed vote I can, and hope it counts for

something. I doubt you can do better unless you are omniscient.

I will freely admit when I am wrong. It isn't a matter of pride or competing with someone on the

internet. It is my opinion or my answer that I make, but when I see something I may disagree, I

usually try to politely suggest an alternative instead of getting upset, which is what your response

showed. How about a little pause and reflect. It might do you good.

I want to see that ding bat get defeated, not worry about about the next four years, which will

undoubtedly be hell if Obama gets re-elected. And I don't know how well Romney would really fit,

except for your idea of a professional . He is a successful businessman and a former governor, but I

wonder about several things with him. He wants it so bad, for one. How connected is he with the

country clubbers in the party? Is he something like our dear Lamar? I suspect so. I hope I'm wrong.

As best I see it, Palin, Bachmann or Cain are the viable candidates for this country and they are all

well qualified, unless you agree with the medias' attack on Palin and the ensuing attack on any

Republican candidate. The media gave us McCain. That shouldn't happen this time.

Be careful what you wish for. I want to see balls to the wall conservative/ libertarian. I'm tired of this

social justice and hogwash called altruism run amock in our country. If left unchecked, our country

is gone. this is only my opinion. I don't have a poly-sci degree or any of that crap that some think

required to have knowledge in these matters.

Well said, 6.8.

Ya know what I find so funny is how so many in the media question Palin's intelligence. If I remember correctly, Jimmy Carter was supposed to be near genius in intellectual ability. He was valedictorian in his high school and graduated in the top 10% from the Naval Academy. Based on that little bit of information, I would say Carter was pretty dang smart. However, he was a disaster as president. One's political or business acumen or their intellectual pedigree doesn't necessarily mean they will be a good and/or effective leader. What we need (and the only thing that will save the country) is plain ol' conservatism and commonsense in the WH and Congress, which is one of the reasons Palin, Bachmann, and Cain are so popular amongst the everyday folks. Assuming Palin runs, I will be voting for one of those three in the primary.

I hope she does, mav, if not just to stir the pot up, and I think she would win anyway.

"Congratulations Jimmy, you're no longer the worst president. You're the second worst!"

I heard someone say that on the radio yesterday.

Whatever man. You say I sound like the mainstream media, I primarily get my news from Fox, CNN, Drudge, and BBC. My opinions on Palin are based on my own observations and research on her background. Have you looked at anything about her other than what you see on Fox? This constant "mainstream media" thing is just a Rush/Hannity/Fox talking point and that tells me something. Every network has its own bias and Fox has a very distinct conservative bias. That's fine as long as people recognize that bias and try to balance it with other perspectives as well. I've seen Palin's speeches, I've seen her interviews, I've read about her background, and I think she is far from being qualified. You have this hangup about my mentioning her education, but you obviously missed where I clearly said that a lack of advanced education should be offset by some significant professional experience that includes management (and frankly, education should be as well). Again, another piece of evidence to show how you just start slinging around baseless and totally meaningless insults for no reason other than to try and score points.

I specifically made the narrow comparison I did to point out the manner in which you tend to do exactly what you are complaining about. I've seen you do it in response to other people's posts as well. You take people's arguments that you disagree with, digest them down to the most simplistic terms possible, cherry pick a very limited theme in that argument, and then twist it into something that you think makes your point more valid. That's what you have done with my argument. You may think you "politely suggest" alternatives, but you don't do a very good job of it, which is why people get flamed by your responses. And I've seen you complain about it in other threads as well.

Let me refresh your memory here. Your previous post said:

I can't say for certain but I am beginning to think

you might not like the fact that a President can

also wear a skirt.

And you claim you never brought up sexism? Really? I never said anything about racism, but did mention that Condi Rice is a black woman who I would likely support to illustrate the ignorance of your claim that I was sexist. You tell me to "pause and reflect," but on a baseless accusation such as that, no reflecting is necessary on my part.

As far as a candidate to beat Obama, Palin isn't it. The only one even close in the polls is Romney. And that sucks because he is far too moderate in my opinion, but at least he is much better than McCain ever was. If you want a libertarian, then support a Libertarian. Republicans must support the party platform and the Republican Party platform isn't libertarian. It's neo-conservative, which has helped get us in the mess that we are in now. I agree about the over-emphasis on "social justice" put out by the left. It's socialism, plain and simple (democratic socialism to be specific - that means we just vote for our dictators). I think we actually agree on politics, but clearly not on candidates, which is fine, but I am allowed to run that woman or any other candidate into the ground, and I will do it when my research and gut tells me that the candidate is bad news. I see in her everything I saw in Obama, except for political stance of course. She can't handle the job. Period. If she is elected, she will carry her message to the White House and give great speeches while the nation crumbles.

I agree with you. Palin is not a great representative in my opinion. She has become a little too into herself and has been played up way too much not to be anything more then Obama was and that is simply a puppet.

To each his own. I dearly remember making that statement. Not to worry. I'd say it again.

It had the desired effect.

Sarcasm has a limited shelf life.

You have no idea what I read, where I get my information, except what I post here as a link,

or from a quotation. I can assure you I don't have the time to watch TV all day but when I do,

it's something I like. Actually I like those same sources as you, with several others.

Evidently I draw different conclusions. Maybe from my severe lack of formal education.

Yep, when you say things and how you say them matter, also.

I didn't tell you to do anything.

Nothing new on that last paragraph. I think I have addressed all that, with maybe some opposing points.

You run her down all you wish. I'll defend what I choose, okay?

It would be preposterous for me to say what you can or cannot say. And the reverse is true.

I will agree with you on one thing. Palin scares the hell out of me. As the kids say "Obama has been a epic fail", but with the exception of Ron Paul no one else is appealing to me. I am going to need alot more from the potential legitimate candidates.
