Best .40 self-defense ammo?

Just bought a Glock 23 and was curious what hollow points y'all recommend. Lighter and faster or more lead but slower? Brands?

The ProArms Podcast did a show on the best rounds for each caliber and one of the top ones they found for the 40S&W was the 165gr Speer Gold Dot.

Ditto on the Federal. It shoots fine. Enjoy your 23. Its may EDC and I really like it for many reasons.

I haven't carried a .40 for about 10 years. When I did it was a Glock 23 or 27 loaded with Cor Bon 135 +P or Federal HydraShok 155. There are great choices available today. As others have said, use a load from a reputable maker that is accurate and reliable in your G23 and you'll be fine.

I use Remington Golden Saber 180 JHP, same as our duty carry. Sheriffs Dept.

Is it the best? Can't say for sure. Likely you can find a study to back up

whatever you choose.

Good place to start would be shot placement. Miss & it doesn't matter much.ty...
