Thanks for posting this information. Like you, I've been itching to get one since I first heard about them. And after I saw and held one, it was worse.Superlite..feels like a kids toy gun. Some I've seen havent had the best slide to frame fit, in fact I saw several you could see daylight from one side to the other.

But still want to get one.

Keltec will send you a free replacement barrel. I got my barrel in today's mail after e-mailing them earlier this week. GOOD customer service.

Thanks, barewolf. That just makes it that much harder to wait. Think I'll go out tomorrow and look around. Wonder what I might come home with?:bowrofl:

Around here you pretty much have to get to the gun shops shortly after delivery, lol, unless you can get them to order one for you.

Remember that link was from 5/10, they had stopped shipping for 2 weeks to fix the problem. That drove prices up above suggested retail. After that they are rotating deliver to distributors. So it might be a few weeks to get quality back up and prices back to normal.

I can wait a few weeks.

Or if you just have to get something ordered you might have to wait for the back order. If your dealer won't order you need a new dealer. (mind you if they do order this item really might be on back order).

Totally agree with your comments, barewoolf and vontar. I just thought I'd go and check oout my local shop and start the process rolling. Got a good relationship with several that I've bought and ordered enough from that I might get a little help on finding and pricing.

Plus...it's a good excuse to go out and look.

Yea, I almost got one for about 300-325 and thought I will get it next pay day. Then out of stock hit. I believe I will get one sometime again for 300 to 350 soon.

Thats my plan. And maybe wishfully that being OTD.

I had quotes of 350-369 last fall on the first shipments. But now...Who knows?

Last show in Knoxville a dealer had one for $569 if I remember correctly. That little tag made sure I didn;t buy anything from him. He actually had something I was going to buy until a friend showed me the Kel-Tec. After that I walked off.
