A little old lady and her husband noticed my XD once in Subway and stared while my wife and I ate. On the way out I smiled and said Hi. I carry IWB and always try to keep it concealed, but I don't get bent out of shape if it shows and I've never really worried about other people noticing.

I don't find it to be a big deal if someone notices printing. I do however think that if someone does notice, its important to be as polite as possible.

When it comes down to it, we DO need the acceptance of the every day citezen to a certain extent. There a lot more people that dont carry guns than do. The least we can do is do our best to make ourselves look like normal nice people.

I have found that one of the most important aspects of being able to conceal well is the correct holster. I'm not suprised that your paddle holster didnt work well. I find a well fitted IWB to really suck the gun into my side. I am a skitty female and have no problem concealing my XDM compact with the right holster and clothing.

No way to purge THAT much stupid from our government. I'm thinking more like a hardship waiver. Hoop jumpin' in place of hard cash.

*shrug* plenty of other states have.

but yes, i agree they should have something along those lines.

That or TGO can just set up a fund :)

I agree. Battered women on the run from an abusive boyfriend/husband generally don't have the time or money to get a permit. It should be as easy for them to get a permit as it is for them to get an order of protection. If he decides to kill them (and I have seen it happen) having a gun might help, having a piece of paper won't.

Right. How many times do we read about ineffective orders of protection. As I recall, the last time we ponied up cash was for that very situation.

oh yea, im totally for both an accelerated temporary permit for those who are in immediate fear for their lives, as well as a low-cost permit for those without the funds

Or just make us the forth state that recognizes it as a right.
