There are already heavy storms, hail, high winds and some spotted tornado's west of Memphis. Tornado on the ground in Newport which is northwest of Memphis, southwest of Jonesboro. The line is headed in this direction. Yay.

I just spent about three weeks handling claims in east Tennessee after the storms from 4-27-11. I'm on vacation this week. Not to be insensitive or nothin' but can't all of this wait until at least next week? Seriously?:shake:

Tornader sirens in Shelby County. Hold on to your hats, looks like north Shelby county is in line for a potential tornado that is being tracked in Arkansas.

Glad to hear it brother.

The wife and I just got finished prepping our hallway bathroom for the night. (I wish we had a basement)

There is constant lightning in the sky and I can see the storm clouds coming our way. I see a night with little to no sleep.

Everything has moved past us to the east. No major issues in Memphis as a result of the storm. Looks like it's about to arrive in Nashville as I type this.

We are good. I grilled BBQ chicken. Lightening was cool/scary!

We had a funnel cloud reported out in the Shelby/Fayette County line last night. You know it's time to get in the closet FAST and away from exterior walls/windows when the wind is blowing so hard that the patio furniture looks like it is going to be blown away! It was definately a fast moving cloud because we didn't have to sit in the closet but a short time. I don't worry about storms but I know when it is time to seek cover to be safe instead of sorry. Too bad houses here usually don't have basements. Those are nice when storms hit.
