wish it could be done in hamilton county. it mite even change some of the gang problem in the parks in chattanooga too.

I thought they just gave those parks to the gangs and prohibited guns to protect the thugs there. :)

They're just admitting that this law is DOA. Here in Pennsylvania, our preemption law doesn't give local governments the right to regulate firearms anywhere. But of course our local elected officials like to pass "common sense" laws that they claim will make people safer -- usually in an election year. In our case, they are struck down by the courts as soon as they try to enforce them due to preemption. There are very few places off-limits in Pennsylvania -- bars are OK, and even if you have a drink. Been this way for decades and this topic never comes up, even from the rabid antis in Philadelphia.
