Hey all,

I am Kirby 28 years old waiting to recieve my HCP right this moment. Originally born and raised in Maine and spent many hours with my grandfather shooting his guns. I work construction as an Ironworker/Welder. I have lived in quite a few states due to different jobs (VA, SC, NC, AR, AZ) but I now have a family (9 y o daughter and a 4 y o son with my gf of 8 years) so Tennessee seemed to be the right place to settle down.

I own a few firearms, Springfield Armory 1911A1, Kimber Pro Carry (just picked that one up), S&W Sigma 380, NAA 5 shot 22LR, Taurus Mdl 94 22LR, S&W 5 shot .38 snubby just for handguns

I also have a Remington 1187 12 gauge for partridge hunting, an 870 for hime defense (20 inch barrel 7 shot magazine 6 shot side saddle and Pachmayer Persuader pistol grip). A Stoeger 12 gauge double barrel coach gun, K mart single 12 and a Savage Stevens pump 12 gauge and a bunch of 22 rifles most of which are older models. I use my Marlin semi auto 22 most of the time for shooting.

I took my HCP class at austin's firearms school and it was a wonderful experience hoping to find the time and money to take the personal protection classes as well.
