I like the Taurus,, but still have a NIB one for sale :)

Seriously, they are pretty decent. Quality is much better than described on many internet forums. Definitely better than the Phillipine models (RIA, Charles Daly, etc). The finish is the weak link. It's very soft.

That said, I'd definitely pay the extra hunderd for a Ruger.

Well my cousin decided to go with a Para Ordnance P14 hi cap 1911. Its a great looking gun but im still looking for a Ruger SR1911.

The guy in McMinnville lowered his from $725 to $718. It's brand new from a business not an individual.
