Has anyone handled, bought, fired or one of these? If so please share your thoughts and experience with this new entry in the 1911 field. The pictures, specs and price look mighty good. Thanks.

After I had heard about it I googled it and ran across this:

No clue who he is but I think he must live in TN (as he talked about Joelton). All I know is that I am envious as hell of him!

You should do a search on here if you have not already. There are a couple of threads previously started on the gun by people here who have purchased them.

Got one already...with VZ grips and 1200 rounds thru it. Good luck finding one.

Those are some of the sharpest looking grips that I have ever seen Spoolie. I like them quite a lot.

I am first on the list at my store to get one and I do believe IF they ever get the thing that I am going to have to have some grips like that. Right now I think I hate you..........Well maybe not hate but certainly green with envy;)

That is a nice pistol there. The only one that i handled was at Bill's They both sold in the twenty minutes i was there :/. They were costing $649.99 at seemed to be well put together. Ruger does it again.

Grips do look sharp but I gotta tell you, I'm getting dizzy looking at them!

I thought that it was just me. They are cool as hell.

Does not look like it is going to go for less than seven hundred plus in Memphis. G and A seems like they are going to charge Les Baer prices for it when it arrives.

Hickok45 (sp?) is a member here on the forum. He does a lot of reviews, I like to see what he says about a gun if I am interested in it.

Yea, I believe hickok45 is from the nashville/clarksville area or something. He has a pretty cool range, I like a lot of his reviews. He just generally tells it how it is. I've been reading many threads on different forums from people that have gotten an sr1911, and so far have not found any overall "I don't like this gun". I recall a couple of people on sigforum saying that they think it shoots better than their springers. For the price, I definitely plan to pick one up in the near future when money allows.

I like the pistol but I'll wait untill I find it at a reasonable price. G & A can keep it at 700+.

For the money that is the best 1911 on the market I got to put 100 rounds through a friends for $600.00 it is a hell of a deal on a well built american made classic firearm
