I'm taking my hcp class this weekend and was looking for any suggestions or advice before heading out. Also i'd like to hear some ammo suggestions for my .45 xdm! Thanks in advance!

Make special effort not to shoot instructor. He will flunk you.

Use only .45 ACP ammo in your heater. WWB from Wally's is likely the cheapest.

I took the HCP class last Saturday. It was cake. We had about 40 people in our class, & nobody failed the written portion. I'm not sure if anyone failed the range portion, but I dont think they did. It's super easy. I've MAYBE put 300 rds through handguns in my entire life & I passed with flying colors.

Just use the cheapest FMJ ammo you can find in your .45 for the range portion. No point in wasting money on decent ammo for that. ;)

Don't sweat it at all. I was a bit worried about taking mine this past weekend but it was a breeze. Had 24 people in class and no one failed either portion.
